‘Hot’ San Francisco cop arrested after hit-and-run
Christopher Kohrs, also known as the “Hot Cop of Castro”, was arrested in San Francisco over the holiday weekend after allegedly plowing over two pedestrians at 2:20 a.m. Sunday then fleeing the scene.
Francisco police officer Christopher Kohrs, 38, left the area, police said.
The two victims in their 40s, had serious injuries and were rushed by ambulance to San Francisco General Hospital, according to the SFGate.com.
San Francisco Police found the auto registered to Kohrs and officers later contacted and arrested Kohrs, who was booked in the San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of two felony counts of hit-and-run involving injury, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
After he became famous, Kohrs granted media interviews and even began doing shirtless photo shoots.
Witnesses say Kohrs left his vehicle and ran off after hitting two men crossing a street.
However, Abramson shared the photo on Facebook and it immediately went viral. A Facebook fan page established for the officer has over 52,000 likes. Police said Kohrs abandoned his auto and took off. He appeared on CNN, ABC TV US and is featured in the 2016 “Fit Cops” calendar.
Ironically, Kohrs’ photo was touted as law enforcement’s answer to Jeremy Meeks, a Stockton man who was offered a modeling contract after his mug shot photo went viral, earning him the media nickname “hot convict”.
