Houston investigating after video of assault of fan surfaces

Temple QB P.J. Walker finished the game 26-of-44 for 287 yards with one touchdown and an interception, and in the process became the Temple career leader in pass completions (559).
From there, Temple would try to mount a comeback, scoring 10-straight points, but the defense got some crucial stops in the second half to cap the win 24-13.
Temple (10-3) will learn its bowl assignment on Sunday, with the Boca Raton Bowl, Dec. 22, a potential destination.
“This isn’t deflating”, coach Matt Rhule said.

Down in Houston, it was a game with ups and downs for both the Temple Owls and the Houston Cougars in the inaugural American Athletic Conference Championship Game.
It makes Houston the Group of Five representative, earning the Cougars a trip to either the Peach Bowl or Fiesta Bowl. He ran the ball 17 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns, while completing 12-of-21 passes for 88 yards.
Owls sophomore Austin Jones kicked a 39-yard field goal with 11:29 remaining as Temple crept within 24-13. Temple’s magical season may have a blemish or two, but they can still finish off the year with a bang and give the seniors a well deserved win.
In a statement on its website, CSC said it was looking into what happened.
“If you want to go somewhere and win a whole bunch of games and win trophies and get rings… the University of Houston is certainly a place to do that”, Herman said. “This is a hurtful loss, but we have a lot of accomplishments”. “When coach Herman first came in we knew he had a plan… we are just very happy and fortunate that we have those guys with us”.
Temple answered the score with a 10-play, 75-yard drive to pull back within 24-10. Ward walked off after a couple of minutes and was attended to by medical staff on the sideline, but didn’t miss a play.
Walker connected with Anderson on a 13-yard touchdown pass that got Temple within 24-10 late in the third quarter. Junior outside linebacker Tyus Bowser intercepted Walker on Temple’s fourth offensive play and returned it eight yards to the Owls’ 36-yard line.
