How Captain Marvel Connects to Avengers: Infinity War

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most ambitious movie franchises in history.

The currently-untitled Avengers 4 features a cast made up of numerous key players in Infinity War – alongside newcomers like Brie Larson and Evangeline Lilly – and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.

The Marvel Studios boss also said that Captain Marvel, which will be Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 21st film but only the first female-led film, will deliver a hit of pure 90s nostalgia. So how is the movie?

But in terms of characters, in terms of broad storylines, or at the very least, in terms of the conceits for big storylines, like Civil War, like the Infinity Gauntlet.the comics are an incredible resource. (Super vague ending spoiler follows!) The cliffhanger climax of Infinity War left the audience at my screening in a state that I can only describe with the most exhausted of critical clichés: They were stunned. You hope it’s cute, but you don’t know until people see it.

What has always worked well for Marvel still works very well in this movie. A piece of advice here – don’t go by the trailers. While Evans’s absence is excused – he’s in the middle of his debut Broadway run in Lobby Hero – Renner’s is much more mysterious, as he’s the only original Avenger who’s been missing from every bit of movie promo so far. With twists and turns that out-pace even the most avid Redditer, McFeely and Markus have written an intelligent, amusing and moving script that is the backbone to the film’s success. Have to say, hats off your fiendishly clever minds, Russo Brothers!

The first action set piece, in Greenwich Village, stands as a highlight of all the Marvel films, a witty world-outside-your-window dustup full of teamups, tech upgrades and a wizard fighting space aliens at high noon in Washington Square Park.

What might happen in Infinity War?

If you’ve managed to remain uninfected by “Avengers” fever and can’t tell an infinity stone from a kidney stone, here is a primer to catch you up to speed. And well, in case you didn’t know, they’re kind of a big deal.

It is different, hard to be executed and powerful.

The movie’s ending will be the major talking point.
