How I Survived The Accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway- Obasanjo
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday recounted how his vehicle had a burst tyre along the Ibadan-Lagos expressway and thanked Nigerians for their show of concern about his welfare.
The incident occurred on Saturday few hours after attending a memorial service to mark the 10th year death of his late wife and former First Lady, Chief (Mrs) Stella Obasanjo.
Obasanjo, who spoke at the service held at Chapel of Christ the Glorious King of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, reiterated that much of the good memoirs of Stella had been in his book, “My Watch”.
Obasanjo was said to have alighted from his vehicle to join another one in his convoy, and headed straight to Adebutu’s church service.
It could not be ascertained weather the former President sustained injuries but he has since travelled out of the country. The tyre was changed and he has since left for Abidjan to commence election monitoring activities for Cote D’Ivoire’s Presidential Election holding tomorrow.
