How Star Wars Character C3PO Became an Unlikely Fashion Icon
The truth is, only people who saw the first Star Wars in theaters between 1977 and 1980 saw the original film that was nominated for Best Picture at the 1977 Oscars.
If you’re starting to feel bamboozled, never fear, because YouTuber Marcelo Zuniga has combed through the original release and the 2011 blu-ray for a comprehensive comparison of each and every change. (The Wild Bunch, for example, was changed multiple times in its first year of release, with only one version considered by Peckinpah to be an acceptable cut.).
Star Wars will return to cinemas in December with The Force Awakens, the beginning of a brand new trilogy starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

I guess even Lucas realized what a masterpiece it was.
