How to find out your Uber rating, if you dare
It turns out that for every rating you give your Uber driver, he or she will be quietly giving you a rating too.

As a result of the setbacks, Uber has begun to concentrate its efforts in Europe on the more traditional vehicle and driver services, which are staffed by professional drivers and are usually covered by national laws on taxi operators. Uber told the drivers that their revenue would go up, because they would be able to accept more rides. Whenever you ask for a ride via the Uber app, a driver makes the decision to pick you up based in part on that rating.
The company has become one of the world’s most valuable startups, worth an estimated US$50 billion (S$70 billion), as it has expanded to more than 50 countries. He said that his fare had been cancelled and he was in the area so he could take them. “That’s really what our take is on it, we want to make sure everybody is playing by the same rules”. For a year Uber has claimed that because the driver’s photo and first name (not last name) is displayed on its smartphone app, this somehow ensures passenger safety.
It all seems pretty straightforward, except for the fact that a driver’s personal auto insurance does not cover commercial use at any time.
Uber said the ruling was “obviously disappointing”. “For the driver’s point, I think it will be OK”.
Much to the disdain of the taxi industry, a proposed 15 percent hike in the overall fares will come at the expense of competing with ride-share companies for passengers at the city’s two airports and McCormick Place, now exclusively served by cabs and limos. Wondering why your friend always seems to get a ride faster, and you’re stuck on the curb? As Mashable reported on Monday and Quartz in July, you can access an “I’d like to know my rating” option via the Uber app’s help menu. “You agree that the entire risk arising out of your use of the services, and any service or good requested in connection therewith, remains exclusively with you”. How are we supposed to keep picking people up and acting like everything’s OK?
