How to hide your private information from Pokemon Go
The moment has finally arrived- Pokemon Go has been officially launched in the UK.
An app that began as an April Fools joke has become a worldwide phenomenon, achieving more than 15 million downloads in the space of a week, and an estimated $1.6 million daily in revenues.
The app’s update has made Germany as the fourth country to receive the official application, according to Androidpolice.com, on Thursday, July 14, 2016.
Pokémon Go has already throttled the internet with a seemingly endless stream of pictures, anecdotes, guides and erotic ebooks. But why? Well, the game uses augmented reality (AR) as its working mechanism. Arlington Cemetery tweeted, “We do not consider playing “Pokemon Go” to be appropriate decorum on the grounds of ANC. We ask all visitors to refrain from such activity”.
Methods included “sideloading” the application onto an Android device or using a foreign App Store account on iOS.
Pokemon Go is so popular that the brick-and-mortar retail world is trying to figure out how to monetize the stampede of foot traffic that Pokestops bring by their doors.
Pokemon Go installs have surpassed 15 million on the App Store and Google Play.
After downloading the app, players navigate an animated version of Google Maps, searching for Pokemon characters to capture and add to their team. He states his belief that Americans have a right to keep personal information private, and that extends to choosing how companies gather data from technology such as hardware and video games. But as you know, if you spot a rare Pikachu, you’ve got to catch it!
The game was originally expected to arrive in the United Kingdom earlier this week but server problems forced Niantic to hold back on the initial release window to avoid further connectivity issues.
