How To Use Undo Send Feature On Your iPhone
Updates in the new Gmail for iOS include an “Undo Send” feature similar to that available on the desktop version of Gmail, which allows users a brief opportunity to recall messages after hitting the “Send” button.
It’s been nearly four years since Google has brought any significant overhauls for the iOS version of Gmail and the most recent update brings a lot of features to iOS that Android users were once privy to.
The changes include the addition of the “Undo Send” feature that launched on the desktop version of Gmail in 2015. You can only choose a “cancellation period” of five, 10, 20, or 30 seconds – there’s no way to retract a cringeworthy email any longer after the fact.
The new update is going to bring feature such as quicker searches that give the user instant results and also spelling suggestions.
Recently, Google had also announced a major makeover to its Gmail for the iOS platform. You can now view your weekly schedule in an easy landscape view mode. However it is nowhere close to the functions and features offered by its Android counterpart.
Google recently unveiled a feature that enables users to undeliver email that’s been sent through its web app, and this has now been extended to the iOS app too. Today’s iOS update is the most significant one for several years, as Google acknowledged in its announcement.
Google stated that this is going to be the biggest app update in the latest four years. The visual changes are the most obvious, as the application has been given a fresh new look with smoother transitions. Google Calendar on iOS now also support alternate, non-Gregorian calendar, like Lunar, Islamic, or Hindu and a user can add these to their regular view as well. You can now use iPhone’s Spotlight search within your calendar to easily find events, reminders and meetings without needing to open the Google Calendar app itself. Unfortunately, no word yet on when an iPad version will be available for users.
