Howarth grabs gold, silver for Robinson

Malone then once again showed the sporting world that he meant business by setting a Paralympics record winning the Men’s 200m T44 in 21.06.

Robinson threw 41.22m with her fifth attempt, which was only beaten by a world record throw of 43.01m from Britain’s Hollie Arnold.
Mary Fisher, who won gold in the SM11 200m individual medley last week, was sixth in the 50m freestyle final.
New Zealand’s youngest Paralympian, 15-year-old Tupou Neiufi, finished fifth in her heat and couldn’t make the final of the women’s 50m freestyle S9.
Four-time Paralympian, Para-Shooter Michael Johnson, was back in action today at the Olympic Shooting Range in Deodoro, in the qualifying rounds for his second event of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, the R5 – Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH2. One poor round sent him to the back of the field and he was unable to recover from it.
Paralaympic debutant Eales also shot in the event but could only finish 17th, and he didn’t make the final.
Sonar class sailors Richard Dodson, Andrew May and Chris Sharp made a strong start to lie second in their 14-boat fleet. They will hope to get on the water tomorrow to continue their success of yesterday placing 8th and 1st in race 1 and 2 respectively.
