HP Unveils New EliteBook Laptops
“The Folio is powered by the latest Intel Core M processors utilizing the Skylake architecture, SSDs up to 512GB, 8GB of RAM, and a 12.5” 1080p display, with the ability to upgrade to a 4K screen.
The HP Elitebook Folio G1 is slightly thinner than the Apple MacBook, and it also has a faster processor, Tech Radar reports.
21% slimmer and up to 15% lighter than the HP EliteBook 1020, the EliteBook Folio is 12.4mm thick and weighs under 1kg. It also contains two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support.
On the other side, the company has launched the EliteBook 1040 G3 and 800 G3 notebooks.
Developers also worked with Skype to create an improved collaborative experience with features that include voice audio tuning and noise reduction software, while audio experts Bang & Olufsen were tapped to custom-tune the notebook’s audio capabilities.
The HP EliteBook Folio will be priced starting at $999 when it goes on sale. The new laptop will be available later this month, starting at $1,199.
HP’s newest PC takes some clear inspiration from the MacBook, and may become a source of competition for Apple. He said that with the combination of Windows 10 and new Intel chips, Windows laptops are finally starting to match MacBook performance in areas such as battery life and form factor.
The 14-inch EliteBook 1040 G3 will arrive first, landing this month for $1,149 and up.
At last, the HP EliteBook 800 G3 starts at $949 (approx Rs. 63,000) and will go on sale from January. HP Inc. wanted a notebook that consumers would want to purchase because of its sleek design that does not compromise on “security, durability, and IT” functions.
