HR Pufnstuf: Nickelodeon to Air New Special Episode
Robert Voets/Access point “Mutt & Stuff”, which actually artists Calvin Millan, will likely accept H.R. Pufnstuf over the course of a wonderful moment in the beginning of the following year.
Characters from the vintage kids show “H.R. Pufnstuf” are set to return to TV for the first time in 45 years as guest stars in Sid and Marty Krofft’s Nickelodeon series “Mutt & Stuff”.
Nickelodeon’s series for preschoolers, which debuted in July, features a mix of puppets and real puppies in its dog-school setting.

The 20-episode order brings the first season of “Mutt & Stuff” up to a total of 40 episodes.
The network announced on Tuesday that it has greenlit “H.R. Pufnstuf Comes to Mutt & Stuff!”
“We don’t mess with our characters”, he said.
Pufnstuf is voiced by comedian, actor and activist Randy Credico.
Debuting in 1969, the offbeat “H.R. Pufnstuf” centered on a shipwrecked boy named Jimmy who, along with his talking flute Freddy, arrives on Living Island, where he’s protected by its mayor, the helpful dragon H.R. Pufnstuf, from the wicked witch Witchiepoo.
The show proved so indelible that a 2007 TV Guide poll of all-time cult favorites saw it ranked No. 27, between Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Stargate SG-1.
Krofft flatly rejects the suggestion.
“We did not intentionally do anything related to drugs in the story”. “You can not work stoned”.
“The shows were very bright and spacey looking”. Another stubborn idea, that the initials “H.R.” signified hand-rolled (as in marijuana joint), was also misguided, according to Krofft: They stood for Royal Highness, backward, he said.
