HTC Desire 10 New Sibling Expected In Less Than A Week
The launch of HTC’s Desire 10 will be followed by the launch of two new Pixel phones a couple of weeks later. The event will be streamed live on the company’s site.
This “edgier” phone may be the HTC Desire 10 Pro or the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle.
As per existing rumours, HTC has been working on a couple of mid-range Desire phones and is expected to launch them as Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle. But if you’re looking for a decent, small Android phone in 2016, the X Compact might well be your best option.
The teaser does not reveal much about the device but it did reveal that the new HTC device will be announced at 8am BST on the 20th of September which means we are just a week away from its unveiling. The two new HTC phones will likely go on sale toward the end of September.
The HTC Desire 10 is thought to be a cheaper version of the flagship HTC 10, with a plastic rather than metal build.
The latest teaser from HTC doesn’t offer more details, but it hints in the same direction: Desire over Pixel, with the same #BeEdgier tagline. It might have a higher-resolution screen and more storage, for example.
The primary camera is tipped to be rated at 13Mp with a dual-tone flash and Laser autofocus, with a second 5Mp selfie cam at the front.
Both the Desire 10 Pro and the Desire 10 Lifestyle will likely debut with Android Marshmallow on board and get the latest Nougat flavor later on, through a software upgrade. This tells us the Desire 10 will have a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear, which could also double as a power button. However, if the HTC Desire 530 is any indication, we might see the new Desire line come to Canada eventually. The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is expected to launch is several matte colour options, and will reportedly support BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers with 24-bit system audio.
