HTC One X9 teaser hints at Christmas Eve unveiling
Mobile device manufacturers HTC and Huawei will launch the HTC One X9 and the Huawei P9 new flagship smartphones in Q1 2016, according to a report by Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN).
The One A9 grabbed a lot of negative attention courtesy its looks that oddly resembled the iPhone 6.
We weren’t expecting HTC to announce any more devices this year, but it turns out the company could have one more surprise up its sleeve.
All in all, this is a metal-clad, mid-range handset which sports three capacitive buttons below the display. It measures 153.90 x 75.90 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 170.00 grams. On the design side, the back and sides of the HTC One X9 is wrapped with a unibody aluminum shell and a single pane of glass protecting the display on the front. While the plastic band doesn’t stand out as much as the big bulge on the back of the Nexus 6P, we can’t help but notice some similarities. As expected, the HTC One X9 is powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, clocked at 2.2 GHz with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and support for 2GB of expandable storage with its microSD slot. As far as the cameras are concerned, the HTC One X9 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. HTC says that the One X9 is compatible with 5V / 1.5A fast-charging.
This leads us to the price.
What do you guys think of the new HTC One X9? The phone is priced at 2399 yuan ($370) and will go on sale soon.
