Huawei announces October 10 event, budget phone expected

The devices runs Android 5.0.2 operating system but Huawei‘s EMUI 3.1 custom UI take over the interface.

This fitness band comes in a minimalistic design with brushed metal bezels and more of a watch like structure.

The smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a 1080×1920 pixels resolution which roughly translates to 424 ppi pixel density. The Honor series has been elemental for the online presence of Huawei brand and considering the fact that Honor 6 and the 6 Plus were a great package, the Honor 7 has an image to match up to. The Honor 7 is designed in such a way to look solid and rigid device and you would love to carry it in your hand.

The phone is stated to be a very capable entry-level device that sports a 5-inch 720p display and 16 GB of storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.

In today’s event, the Chinese handset maker Huawei surprised everyone, with the announcement of its wearable device codenamed Band Z1.

Camera department is managed by a 20-Megapixel primary sensor along with a 8-Megapixel secondary camera.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/AC, NFC, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS/ A-GPS. The phone will be available for sale from October 15 and comes with a 3,100 mAH battery.

Interestingly, the new Huawei Honor 7 comes with a dual-tone LED flash at the rear along with a front-facing flash.

It can be activated by pressing the power button and shaking the phone as well as other combination of buttons. The SOS feature is an application which can be configured by the user as per their convenience.

Honor 7 does come with a few interesting features and the inbuilt powerbank (reverse charging) is definitely one of them. There is no information yet on how much the Honor 7 will cost as soon as it is unveiled in India, but rumors say that it may be priced at around Rs 20,000, which is less expensive than the European variety.

Speaking at the launch, Zhao Gang, Vice-President, Honor worldwide Business said that: “The device’s precise dimensions and metallic finish offer an optimal form-factor and premium feel, while its smart and multimedia capabilities inspire action and creativity”. Huawei has tried to make taking screenshots easier with the Knuckle shot, which will capture a screenshot by tapping with your knuckles on he screen.
