Huawei Mate 8 with 6-inch display, 4000mAh battery and fingerprint scanner
On the back, we’re looking at a 16 MP Sony IMX298 camera, with an f/2.0 aperture, while on the front it has another Sony sensor, but just 8 MP this time, with an f/2.4 aperture.
Huawei Mate 8 specifications and features: The smartphone flaunts a 6-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display with 83 percent screen-to-body ratio and is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 950 octa-core (2.3GHz Cortex-A72 quad-core + 1.8GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core) chipset.
There’s also an i5 coprocessor that “supports speech recognition, low-power consumption MP3, all the functions of a sensor hub, fused location provider (FLP) navigation, and reduces location-based power consumption”, the company said in a press release. “It is a 1/2.8” type sensor, slightly smaller than sensors used on most flagship Android smartphones these days. Surprisingly, we find that the camera is only capable of recording videos at up to 1080p and not 4K.
The Huawei Mate 8 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts two Nano-SIM. This effect is achieved by using of a 2.5D glass cover placed on top of the display.
What we want to show you here is one particular thing: the outwards appearance, the design of the Huawei Mate 8. Huawei is launching Mate 8 in four colours: gold, silver, gray, and brown. Inside the premium build, you find a 4000mAh capacity battery that Huawei claims can offer up to 30% better stamina than the 4100mAh capacity battery on the Ascend Mate 7. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G, 4G. Huawei has promised to share more details about global availability of the handset at CES 2016.
