Huawei to Launch Its First Dual-Camera Smartphone in the US
It also features some of the sensors like Gravity Sensor, Compass, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Gyroscope, Hall Effect Sensor, and there is Fingerprint Sensor provided under the rear camera of the smartphone.
“The Honor Brand isn’t one we are launching in Canada”.
Huawei P9 might also face competition from its own Nexus 6P of previous year.
The Android Marshmallow-based Honor 8 features a 5.2-inch 1080p display, dual 12-megapixel rear cameras, an 8-megapixel front camera with flash, and a USB-C charging port.
Coming back to the dual camera setup, this is not the first time that a smartphone company has used such an arrangement to improve photography experience on a smartphone. Huawei also made it easier to quickly snap pictures by building in some shortcuts. One of the cameras captures the photograph in color (RGB) whereas the other camera at the back captures the photograph in monochrome. One of the potential downsides of the Honor is that it still features Huawei’s Emotion UI running on top of Android 6.0, which can be a little frustrating to use for people who prefer something a little closer to the stock version of the Android OS.
The much awaited smartphone from Huawei Honor, Honor 8 has launched in US. The smartphone is powered by company’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset, which is an octa-core model with four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.5GHz + four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
Huawei is not backing down from the United States market. Available in Pearl White, Sapphire Blue, and Midnight Black, the Honor 8 is made from glass that is embedded with a circular grooved pattern which captures the light in a really lovely way. The Note 8 continues that device’s tradition of hearty specs packaged with a low price point, though it’s more akin to the Honor P9.
However, with the pre-order, you will get a$50 gift voucher from the retailers while HiHonor US is offering a $50 rebate.
As for the price, the 32GB editions sells for $399.99 and the 64GB model for $449.99.
The Honor 8 doesn’t skimp on specs, either. Huawei says that pack is good for 10 hours of non-stop video playback, and it offers fast-charge support should owners only have a moment at an outlet.
