Huawei Watch ‘Jewel’ and ‘Elegant’ variants designed for women officially
The “Elegant” and “Jewel” are compatible with Android Wear, iOS and Android and aim to make smartwatches as fashionable as they are functional.
Live in Las Vegas for CES 2016 Huawei announced both new watches, but didn’t have too many other details to share at the show.
Huawei has unveiled two new versions of its smartwatch that are being aimed at women.
At CES today, Huawei announced two new smartwatch models named “Elegant” and ‘Jewel’. Finally giving the ladies something worth buying, that has the elegance and style to go with it, rather than look like everything else. The Jewel edition in particular is notable for having jewels encrusted around the full circle of the body of the watch.
What do you think of these new additions to the Huawei family?
The Elegant model is a little more understated featuring a knurled pattern effect around the face instead, although crystals, albeit fewer than the Jewel, are still present on the face.
Still, the company is clearly targeting Apple by offering seemingly high-end watches at relatively inexpensive prices.
Huawei is a relative newcomer to the U.S. market, but when it comes to wearables it has entered with quite the bang with its premium product: the Huawei Watch.
The circular watch faces themselves measure 44mm, and both new watches come with 40 pre-loaded watch faces, as well as introducing 10 new watch faces with “exclusive feminine designs”.
The Huawei Watch Jewel and the Huawei Watch Elegant will be available from March 2016, with a price tag of $499 and $599, respectively.
