Huawei Watch officially available today
If the Huawei Watch does in fact hold a speaker inside then there’s no telling why Huawei wouldn’t have it enabled it from the start, but there’s always the possibility that it could have something to do with the current version of Android Wear. If you live in Switzerland, you’ll have to pay 399 CHF. In September 2014 the South Korean company introduced the LG G Watch R and made it available for purchase in Google Play Store soon after.
We will have our full review of the Huawei Watch in due time, but at the outset we felt that it is easily one of the best-looking Android Wear watches to date, and that certainly hasn’t changed. However, regardless of the model you choose, you’ll have to wait for about two to three weeks for your order to get shipped. While it may take a while for the watch to launch here in Australia, we can sit back and stare in awe as the Android Police team decided to open their’s up for a poke around inside, and it’s lucky they did because it may point towards a new feature for Android Wear. Its 1.4-inch 400 x 400 AMOLED display is covered with sapphire crystal glass, and it is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.2 GHz processor.
It also includes all the modern sensors you’d expect in a high-end smartwatch: gyroscope, accelerometer, PPG (Heart Rate Sensor), barometer. It has 512 MB of RAM, 4GB of internet storage and a 300 mAh battery. You can find it for sale on GetHuawei.com, Best Buy, Amazon and the Google Store.
If you want to pre-order the Huawei Watch, Huawei’s Official Online store isn’t the only place where you can do that.
