Hugh Jackman announces ‘Broadway to Oz’ concert tour
Hugh Jackman is said to be in talks to play the lead role in the upcoming film adaptation of the Greek epic “The Odyssey”, according to Variety. No, no there isn’t.
Jackman said he never pays attention to reviews, with the exception of the “one review that really matters” – from his wife, actor Deborra-Lee Furness.
Australians will soon get to see actor Hugh Jackman in a new musical show.
A company of 150 musicians, dancers and singers will be there to back up the dad-of-two as he brings the magic of Broadway to Aussie shores!
Tickets can be found on Ticketek!
The production will showcase some of his biggest hits, including The Boy from Oz and Les Miserables, as well as a nod to his role as Wolverine in the X-Men film franchise.
The show will present a medley of work by 46-year-old “Real Steel” actor, as well as tributes to classic musicals.
Only last night he was warbling away on Les Miserables on Channel 4 much to fans’ delight and today Hugh Jackman has announced he’ll be doing a lot more warbling around the arenas of his native Australia. “That might seem like a low bar, but for Deb that’s as high a bar as you can get because it’s only happened about twice in our 20 years of marriage”.
“It’s all about me: it’s everything I love. I’ll tell you what it’s like being in my shoes in my career – both on screen and off, growing up etc etc”.
He also said it was always his plan to take the Broadway show to Australia as “the end game for me” was there.
