Hundreds mourn officer killed in Dallas police shooting
“These are innocent police officers”.
Krol is a former Wayne County sheriff’s deputy. In 2008 he graduated from the Dallas Police Academy and achieved his dream.
– Friends and family in Metro Detroit will pay their final respects to Dallas police officer Michael Krol.
“He knew the danger of the job but he never shied away from his duty”, his mother Susan Ehlke said in statement.
Napolean comforted Krol’s family after the tragedy. It was at that point that Ehlke became anxious according to a report in the Free Press.
‘He was a guy that was serving others, ‘ Brian Schoenbaechler, Krol’s brother-in-law, said. “And he gave his life in service of others”.
“There is absolutely no excuse for the citizens to rise up against the very people that have sworn to protect them”, Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napolean said.
The private service for Krol is underway Friday at Prestonwood Baptist Church Mortuary, but he will be laid to rest in his home state of MI on Tuesday, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder released a statement last week in which he memorialized the Michigan native, saying, “I was notified today that one of the fallen officers in Dallas is a Michigan native who previously worked in law enforcement in southeast Michigan”. The funeral was scheduled for the following morning.
Krol be buried with honors at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
