How can we leave out MI, who thrashed big-ten conference champion Penn State 49-10, beat #8 Colorado, beat #6 Wisconsin and were a yard away from beating #2 Ohio State in Columbus in double overtime?

No. 2 Clemson and No. 3 Ohio State will play in the Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, in the other College Football Playoff semifinal matchup on December 31. Penn State shouldn’t be in the playoff ahead of Washington, it should be in ahead of Ohio State.

On Sept. 10, Penn State lost 42-39 to Pittsburgh in the first game between those two in-state rivals since 2000. Yes, the Buckeyes lost to Penn State, but they also beat Michigan, Wisconsin, and blew out Oklahoma, all teams that were closing in on playoff spots. Regardless, Clemson took care of business against its toughest opponents.
