Hyundai Creta global bookings up
Hyundai Motor India today said one of its best selling models Elite i20 has crossed the 1.5 lakh unit sales mark in the domestic market. The company that is now 19 years old started its journey in India with the launch of the Hyundai Santro, the country’s first tall boy designed family hatchback. Along with the Elite i20, Hyundai caters to the Indian market with the Eon, i10, Grand i10, Xcent, Active i20, Verna, Elantra, Creta and Santa Fe. In India, Hyundai is the largest exporter for passenger cars and the second largest vehicle manufacturer. Hyundai India is also the biggest exporter of India-made cars across the globe. “CRETA heralded a new chapter in Hyundai’s success story across the world showcasing HMIL’s success of “Make in India” manufacturing initiative”. The satisfying after-sales service from Hyundai has also played quite an important role in cementing the company’s reputation of creating reliable cars. In order to meet demand and reduce waiting periods, Hyundai has implemented plans to increase the production capacity of the compact SUV to 10,000 units per month from December 2015 onwards.
The firm now exports to around 85 countries across Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific. In October, Hyundai sales figures were up by 24 percent i than past year with 47,015 units sold.
