I-95 crash victims attended ‘American Idol’ audition at Temple University

A Bloomfield woman on her way home from Philadelphia after auditioning for “American Idol” was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening.
The crash occurred briefly before 7 p.m. Sunday in Lower Makefield Township. According to multiple reports, the group was traveling back from “American Idol” auditions in Philadelphia.
Witnesses told police the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed when it flipped and rolled over, 6ABC reported.
Police are pursuing an investigation to discover the exact cause of the crash.
Three people were ejected from the vehicle, and a fire official described some of the others’ injuries as serious.
None of the victims were wearing seatbelts.
The woman has been identified as 20-year-old Natasha Bellott of Bloomfield, 6ABC news said. McCoy was admitted for a head injury and fractured ribs.
The victims – all described as young adults from New Jersey – were transported to hospitals in Bucks County and Trenton.
A 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old girl were also taken to Capital Health, according to police. The driver lost control of her vehicle while using the shoulder to pass a auto in the right lane, a report from Pennsylvania State Police says.
