‘I Have Far Better Judgment’: Trump Questions Cruz
Like it or not, that’s your Republican presidential field as 2015 nears the end – and Democrats may like what they see. “Where there was a battle over amnesty and some chose, like Sen”. “But it seems you have had a problem attacking Donald Trump”.
“People like what I say”. “While everyone said I beat him last night, I was only responding to his desperate attempt to stay relevant by attacking me.
So, so far, I’m doing better”, Trump said, apparently referring to his standing in a recent poll.
Rubio never said in the debate whether he still sees citizenship as an eventual possibility.
“When it comes to Sen”.
Rubio immediately criticized Cruz for discussing details of the new law.
When one of the panellists asked him whether he is ready to reassure Republicans that he will run as a Republican and abide by the decision of the Republicans, Trump replied: “I really am”.
Maybe it was because it was held in Las Vegas, where so many great prizefights have been held.
Lindsey Graham, a U.S. senator from SC with hawkish views on national security, was especially withering.
Rubio’s trying to capitalize on his momentum.
Mr Rubio struck first, criticising Mr Cruz for voting to curtail United States surveillance powers. It was over the top at times-he mentioned his experience as a prosecutor so often it’s possible that viewers may forget he’s a sitting governor.
If the candidates’ actions are to be believed and this is going to be a campaign about strength, Cruz looked like the stronger candidate Tuesday night.
Rubio was citing a Cruz argument in 2013 that his amendment to an immigration-reform bill would make the overall package easier to pass. Cruz’s campaign recently claimed the amendment was actually a “poison pill” to make the larger bill politically toxic.
Sen. Marco Rubio and Ben Carson followed at 9 percent apiece of the #GOPDebate conversation.
Cruz and Rubio have also been duking it out over the USA Freedom Act, which curtailed the US’ gathering of phone metadata. “Marco knows what he’s saying isn’t true”, Cruz said.
“If elected, we will hunt down and kill the terrorists”, Cruz said.
“I promise you the next time there is an attack on this country, the first thing people are going to want to know is why didn’t we know about it and why didn’t we stop it, and the answer had better not be because we didn’t have access to records or information that would have allowed us to identify these killers before they attacked”, he said during the debate. Rubio stands in third with 17 percent. The latest Des Moines Register poll has him up 10 points over Trump. Ted Cruz of Texas, who passed up several chances to go after Trump and even joked that he would appoint the billionaire developer to build a wall at the Mexican border, another irrational plan. “I think it’s the usual rhetoric out of the other contenders”.
