I hope 1D stay together
Now that it’s public knowledge that One Direction are taking a break next year, the rumours have quite literally been non stop as to what they’ll be up to next.
We were devastated but not very surprised when it was announced last week that Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson would be going their separate ways in March 2016.
Despite being out of the loop about what the boys will be up to during their time off, Cowell suggested the Louis Tomlinson could be making an appearance on this year’s X Factor. “I hope they stay together but you’ve got to want to do it yourselves”, Simon told British newspaper Metro.
“I hope so, but like I said, it’s not going to be because of any pressure from me”, he explained.
Discussing the band’s break, he added: “I don’t know if they’re definitely going to split up to be honest with you”. ‘It really has to be, like we said in the beginning, this is an opportunity, you won it, and I’ve always had that attitude with them. “They’re nice guys, they’re loyal and they’ll be fine”. Promise Don’t worry’. Love you all xx.
He also revealed that he’s planning to have Louis on one of the forthcoming X Factor shows as a guest mentor for his category. Yay!
“No discussions about solo deals are happening with any members of One Direction now”, said the rep. “Sony are fully committed to all of One Direction and are looking forward to the release of the group’s new album”.
The 23-year-old took to Twitter to share his excitement and posted, “So does X Factor start tonight/today?”, E!
