‘I know who’ll win The X Factor’ reckons Nick Grimshaw

Four Filipina sisters blew away the judges of “The X Factor UK” with their powerful vocals during their audition for the hit talent search at the Wembley Stadium in London.

Meanwhile, Fernandez-Versini admitted she is busy preparing herself not to get too emotional during the Judges’ Houses stages now that they will be broadcast live.

“I heard in the edit that the whole hour is about me”, replied Rita.

“I don’t know why [the BBC] did that, but it feels a bit like, “Let’s try to see if we can clip The X Factor’s wings”, Fincham claimed during a panel at the Edinburgh global Television Festival. “I kind of want to hug you”.

“No discussions about solo deals are happening with any members of One Direction now”, said the rep. “Sony are fully committed to all of One Direction and are looking forward to the release of the group’s new album”.

The 53-year-old music mogul admits he wasn’t surprised when the British boyband first approached him about the possibility of taking time off next year because he “could see they were exhausted”.

When 21-year-old auto mechanic Josh Daniel sang in Manchester in last night’s episode, all the judges were clearly moved, but Simon was visibly upset by the performance, unable to comment apart from giving him the nod through to the next round, and then leaving the arena without a word to his fellow judges. There were shocks for the show’s new host Olly Murs, when his friend Jon Goodey auditioned, as well as for Fernandez-Versini, who met a contender vying to be “the male version of Cheryl”.

The X Factor will return to screens this Saturday 29 August and Sunday 30 August.
