Ian McShane Joins Game Of Thrones Cast For Season 6
The Golden Globe-winning Brit will appear on “Thrones” in a supporting role with “a relatively small amount of screen time”, according to Entertainment Weekly, which broke the casting news.
Actor Ian McShane is joining the cast of “Game of Thrones” for Season 6.
Me, I hope he plays Bran Stark From the Future who comes back in time somehow to save the Stark family but accidentally picks the wrong year.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, HBO president Michael Lombardo confirmed plans to continue “Thrones” through at least eight seasons. His credits include “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides“, “Hercules“, “Cuban Fury“, “Jack and the Giant Slayer“, “Snow White and the Huntsman”, and “American Horror Story: Asylum“.
His role in the popular medieval fantasy series Game of Thrones is being kept secret. Sources told the mag his character will still hold “key importance”. Does this mean the producers will add material not in the books to “pad out” Seasons 6 and 7?
One thing you can rest assured of: Television is still a business, and Game of Thrones has been very, very good for HBO’s business. No release date has been set for the sixth installment, “The Winds of Winter“.
