Icahn ups stake in Cheniere Energy to 11.43%
In his 13D regulatory filing last month, Carl Icahn said that shares of Cheniere Energy were undervalued and he would seek discussions on “operations, capital expenditures, financings and executive compensation”.

Funds controlled by Icahn now hold a total of 27,042,928 of Cheniere’s shares outstanding, the filing showed. With the volume soaring to 6,303,034 shares, the last trade was called at $47.47.
In the after hour trading, Cheniere shares moved up 1.6percent to $48.25.

Many analysts have commented on the company rating. Cheniere Energy has an average rating of “Hold” and an average target price of $82.63.
Cheniere, is gearing up to export first of its significant amounts of liquefied natural gas by sea from the United States. He initiated talks and reached an agreement with Cheniere which will add two representatives selected by him to its board. The Organization owns 100% of the overall partner interest in Cheniere Partners and 80.1% of Cheniere Energy Partners LP Holdings, LLC (Cheniere Holdings), which is a publicly traded limited liability company that possesses a 55.9% limited partner interest in Cheniere Partners.
The energy company has committed to building a second $16 billion natural gas export facility near Corpus Christi, Texas and teamed up with another Houston LNG company on two mid-scale projects in Louisiana.
