ICloud on Android? Tim Cook hints at more Apple Android apps
In a townhall meeting, Apple CEO Tim Cook told employees that the company is in the initial stages of setting up its own stores in India. If Cook is suggesting the Apple Watch has a bigger upside than the iPhone, that’s a pretty big deal. Cook also spoke about revitalizing the iPad, Apple’s future headquarters, and how the company plans to expand in the entertainments market.
That is the major thing that you can find in the latest update to Apple Music.
9to5Mac reports that “multiple sources” informed it of the proceedings, revealing Cook discussed Apple’s record-breaking earnings call, addressed the slow-down in iPad sales and explained his vision for Apple’s future development. Though the meeting had a number of interesting tidbits, one pertaining to apps making their way to Android is perhaps the most interesting to fans of Apple’s services.
Cook said that Apple TV and tvOS are two products which point towards a “bright” future for Apple; and expressed excitement over some of the expected product launches the company will announce this year.
The first-ever Android app was rolled out by Apple in September 2015. And depending on what size of SD card your device supports, you can wind up storing the bulk of your music library on it, saving your data by reducing streaming in the process.
But Apple’s text messaging replacement app is actually one of the reasons the iPhone is so hard to break away from.
Several Android-based phones allow users to upgrade their storage using SD and microSD cards. This could mean even more applications – like the recently released Apple Music – for competing mobile platforms, like Android. Those services include iCloud apps and storage, Apple Pay, and iMessage, just to name a few.
