IDF Shoots Kills Three Terrorists At Gush Etzion
Four Palestinians have been shot dead in the West Bank today, as they reportedly tried to stab Israeli soldiers.
According to a military spokesperson, three knife-wielding Palestinians arrived at the Gush Etzion Junction, a major crossroad in a Jewish settlement bloc in the West Bank, on Thursday night. More than half were said by Israel to be attackers. The army said in a statement that “forces at the scene responded to the attack and shot the assailant, resulting in his death”.
The Gush Etzion checkpoint is becoming place of choice for Palestinians intent on killing IDF soldiers with nearly daily attacks.
Based on figures released by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), last year, the homes of some 539 Palestinians were demolished by the Israeli regime while a further 742 were forced to abandon their homes.
Twenty-two Israelis and an American have been killed in attacks by Palestinians including stabbings, auto rammings and gunfire targeting security forces and civilians since 1 October.
At the same time, 142 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces, most while carrying out attacks and the rest in clashes with security.
