IDF Soldier Stabbed in Hebron; Two Palestinian Terrorist Shot Dead
Bodies of alleged Palestinian attackers are kept by the Israeli government as an attempt to deter further attacks, but officials are severely divided on whether the policy is effective or not.
Palestinian medical sources in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, reported that Israeli soldiers shot dead, on Friday at dawn, two Palestinians in Tal Romeida neighborhood, in the center of Hebron city. “In response to the threat, forces fired at the attackers, resulting in their deaths”.
Sacred to both Muslims and Jews, Jerusalem is home to Al-Aqsa Mosque, which for Muslims represents the world’s third holiest site.
Eyewitnesses said that hundreds of settlers gathered at the shooting scene, while police denied Palestinians’ access for a period of time.
Shortly afterward, a Palestinian man ran his vehicle into a group of soldiers stationed by a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah.

The soldiers were taken to hospital, where medics described their condition as not life threatening.
The attack came hours after another one roughly 20 kilometres (12 miles) away in which a Palestinian stabbed and wounded an Israeli before being shot dead.
Numerous attackers have been shot dead by their victims or security forces.
On Thursday, the soldiers shot and killed a young Palestinian man, identified as Mazen Hasan Arabiya, 37 years of age, in Hizma town, northeast of occupied Jerusalem. The US daily reported that numerous religious extremists live in the Israeli illegal settlements in the West Bank.
Unusually, two Palestinians were wounded by tank fire after entering the no-go zone close to the border fence east of the city of Khan Yunes.
People not proven to possess been acting on direct orders have performed all the strikes.
