Idris Elba to open for Madonna in Berlin

The actor-musician will be the opening act during her “Rebel Heart” tour stop Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.

Idris, 43, will warm up the crowd with his DJ skills and is the latest famous face to join Madonna’s tour, with Jessica Chastain making a surprise appearance on stage in Prague over the weekend.

Elba frequently trades his spot in front of cameras to stand behind a turntable, sharing on Instagram a few of his shows in London and Ibiza, E!

He’s going to DJ ahead of the German leg of her Rebel Heart Tour tonight in Berlin. Elba, who is known by his musical alias Driis, recorded an album of South American music titled “Mi Mandela” which served as a companion piece for the film. He even appeared at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Recent supporting acts on the road with the Queen of Pop include comedian Amy Schumer, DJ Diplo, DJ Lunice, Irish rapper Rejjie Snow and DJ Michael Diamond. He’s set to reprise his role as the title character of the BBC series “Luther”, the Wrap reported.
