IFA 2015 – Asus expected to unveil new smartphone, smartwatch!
With IFA 2015 just around the corner, Asus has confirmed that it will hold an event at the big consumer electronics and home appliances tech trade show in Berlin.
Now, it appears that Samsung’s Gear A and the next-generation Moto 360 smartwatches could see some interesting competition at the IFA, as Asus also plans to unveil its own smartwatch, the ZenWatch, at the event. Moreover, the company is likely to launch its first smartwatch and a smartphone which was teased in the poster by showcasing its rear positioned volume rocker. According to a teaser video posted on the company’s Facebook page, we’re getting a few brief glimpses at what could be unveiled. During the ZenWatch 2 announcement, the company failed to give precise release related information, so we’re guessing ASUS will offer more word on that during this event. Now, the ZenWatch 2 was already officially announced back during Computex, but ASUS loves announcing new devices multiple times before they launch, so there’s nothing really new on that front. This is unfortunately the only teaser we’re seeing of a new smartphone, but we’d be surprised if it turned out to be anything else. Well, I suppose all there is to do now is to exercise patience and wait for IFA 2015 to kick off – although knowing ASUS, the mysterious smartphone should not be the only device that will debut, as ASUS too, has a smartwatch called the ZenWatch.
