Iggy Azalea Invites Erykah Badu’s Daughters To Her Upcoming Concert
Erykah Badu may have released one of the best mixtapes of the year, but outside of music sometimes it’s impossible to figure out what the hell she’s talking about. Everyting started when Badu hosted the 2015 Soul Train Awards.
But in the event the Cain’t Use My Phone artist decides to stop doing music (which we don’t sanction or support) she would have a thriving career as a comedian.
Erykah Badu is probably not Iggy Azalea’s favorite person right now – and after this week, any hope of these two making amends are at an all time low. “I mean, if y’all love her so much, why don’t you go be with her then?” Her kids are apparently fans of Iggy, so Badu felt the need to apologize. “Go on Puma, go on Mars”, she sassily continued. We are days from 2016, but i came online today and saw it’s still cool to try and discredit my 2014 accomplishments.
It’s not the first time Iggy has been attacked by black artists – she previously had to defend her music from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Q-Tip and Azealia Banks. In response to the comments, Badu posted a video of herself apologizing to Azalea. Badu says in the message above, which is directed to Iggy, then her kids. If they do great in class there is officially an open invitation extended to them and friends with good report cards to come and enjoy a show anytime.
But it wasn’t all as it seemed with the 44-year-old issuing a reluctant apology saying she was only doing it because her children are fans of the 25-year-old Australian songstress. “I am 100% a woman of my word, and I appreciate the apology”.
