Ighalo Braced For Arsenal Clash
Flores will go head-to-head with Wenger for the first time in his career on Saturday evening as Watford play host to Arsenal in the Barclays Premier League.
Following the club’s AGM in midweek, speculation surrounding Wenger’s longterm future at the club has resurfaced once again, with reports that he could quit the club once his contract expires in 2017.
“We have to be conscious that it will be a different game at Watford, but the level of urgency is a big part of success and that is what we work on”.
“I always want to score goals and it does not matter who I score against”, Ighalo, who turned down a mega-money move to China over the summer to stay at Watford, added.
Fair play to Wenger for sticking with him on the right because it really has paid off for the player and for Arsenal in general.
City still lead the standings with 21 points whiles Arsenal and Man united are two points behind them with 19 points each, Arsenal lead United by virtue of superior goal difference. At odds against minus a goal I think Arsenal to me look like one of the bets of the weekend.
Wenger was enthused by the display of Theo Walcott against Manchester United following knee surgery in 2014.
Sanchez’s strike takes his tally to six Premier League goals in eight matches, while boasting a rather stupendous five shots and 3.1 successful take-ons per encounter. But the Gunners do have a strong forward line, and I see them grinding out a victory with a 2-0 win.
“We want more than third and winning the FA Cup, we have the potential to do more”, Wenger said at the recent Arsenal AGM.
The Gunners have won four of their last five games but after the worldwide break Arsene Wenger feels his side need to re-connect quickly when they walk out on the pitch this Saturday.
“I had a doubt before the game and in the end I made a decision to start him because if he’s not well I’d take him off. Sometimes it’s easier for the player than to come on if he’s exhausted and to grow into the rhythm of the game”. Sanchez is on fire at the moment and he is the one to watch at the moment, although I believe we need to be careful not just against him, but all the players.
