IIT JEE Result 2016: Meet Tanmaya Shekhawat who got BMW as reward

Tanmaya Shekhawat has just got on the proverbial road to success. The student has secured 11th rank in the recently conducted JEE examination. And now, thanks to his AIR, he has a sleek BWM sedan.

Tanmay Shekhawat, A Student from Samarpan coaching Institute in Rajasthan has Secured 11th rank in IIT -JEE exams and was gifted a BMW by the Chairperson Dr. RL Poonia of the College.

According to the reports on media says, The director (of the institute) had announced that whoever achieves a rank under 20 in the IIT-JEE Advanced, will get his BMW.

Shekhawat hails from Srikar, a town in the state of Rajasthan, and the coaching institute is hoping to generate some large publicity from this move: “It is trying to become a coaching hub for aspiring engineers”, as Mashable notes.

After cracking this highly competitive exam, these students can now expect eligiblity for admission to Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), considered as India’s top notch engineering institutions. He is keen to study computer sciences in IIT Bombay.

Sikar, which is about 115 km from Jaipur and is known for preserving traditional Rajasthani culture with its imposing havelis and mansions, now seems to be competing with Kota, which is known as the coaching capital of India. Tanmaya, who favourite movie is 3 Idiots, loves playing football and basketball. Tanmaya’s mother is also a school teacher.

The next task ahead of the teenager, who has been is to learn driving.
