Image of Microsoft’s New Xbox One S Leaks
A few hours ago, an image of the Xbox One Slim has surfaced online, revealing how the new console is going to look. What’s interesting, however, is that this new Xbox version also comes with High Dynamic Range, a streamlined controller, plus a vertical stand, so yes, the S model can also stand vertically whereas the original model was created to be used horizontally.
Of course, the new Xbox One Slim should sound familiar to Microsoft fans, as the company previously released a Slim version of the Xbox 360.
Speaking to Ars Technica, a Microsoft source said that 4K support will largely amount to the console’s menu system, as well as in 4K streaming apps further down the line. Anyway, you can always add an external hard drive to any of the available motives.
Since Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One four years ago at E3 2012, a lot has changed with its big black box. Now it could very well be a patch for the preview members testing the new dashboard, but we sense possible groundwork for something due to be announced in tomorrow’s Microsoft conference. It also discusses that there were originally two versions of the console intended, with a “Yuma” model that was smaller and without the gaming capabilities of the version we saw launch. You know you’re going to want one. A “streamlined controller” is shown in the image too, while a vertical stand is also promised.
This isn’t exactly a next-gen game console.
The list of E3 announcements that’ve leaked is probably longer now than the list of ones that haven’t.
