Iman returns to public life after David Bowie’s death
Iman attended her first event since the death of her husband, David Bowie, in January. “I’m wearing this until my death”, she said.
The supermodel then pointed to a delicate gold necklace she wore around her neck that read “David”, made by designer Hedi Slimane.
“It’s been a tough year, but I’m holding up”, she told People magazine.
The Somali supermodel on Instagram documented her comeback in three acts: prepping for the fashion show, snapping a photo with Cindy Crawford and walking the red carpet. She shared a selfie as she was getting ready, with her face prettily made up and her hair wrapped in a towel.
Iman looked stunning for the presentation in a plunging blue velvet suit, which she teamed with black sandals and hoop earrings.
“My first night out attending an event since previous year”, Iman captioned a selfie highlighting her freshly applied makeup. Stay sweet “Classy with a hint of sassy” #SELFPORTRAIT #LEXILOVE, ‘ the proud mother wrote.
Iman and Bowie were married for 24 years when he died of cancer at 69. She later posted a photo of her standing outside Ford’s runway show. We’re not anybody else’.
The model previously revealed the secret to their long-lasting marriage.
