Immense Shanghai Disneyland, Opening Today, Cost $5.5 Billion to Build

But Disney faces the danger that it might be so crowded potential visitors would be put off.

A few days ahead of the event, China Labor Watch, a monitoring organization based in NY, claimed factory workers involved in making toys for the new park were underpaid and experienced poor working conditions. Some early complaints targeted food prices, so Disney is allowing packaged food and drink into the park.
