Bush did utter a number of memorable lines last night as he tried to pull his campaign out of the land of single digit poll numbers.
And then there is the not-so-trivial-obstacle that targeting civilians is illegal under worldwide law supported by the U.S. Marco Rubio traded fire over the merits of the metadata collection program at the debate.
Trump’s leading most polls, just ahead of Ted Cruz, who’s in Minnesota Thursday, and again not going negative on Trump.
Of the pair of freshman Cuban-American senators who participated in Tuesday night’s Republican presidential debate, which one is more likely to be on stage in Cleveland next summer to accept the party’s nomination?

Rubio and Cruz each did well in defending their differing stances on foreign policy, immigration and homeland security. “Cruz is only trying to cover up his support for legalization, which he proudly touted during the immigration debate, well after the immigration debate, from the Senate floor, in a Senate committee room, to reporters across the country, and to his fellow alumni at Princeton”.
Cruz countered by saying that Rubio was spreading “knowingly false” information about his record.
“What (Rubio) knows is that the old program covered 20% to 30% of phone numbers to search for terrorists”.

The Texas senator has said the amendment was a “poison pill” meant to highlight the fact that Democrats weren’t open to compromise on a pathway to citizenship to get reform passed, even as they demanded compromise from Republicans on the bill. He was followed by Rubio (13:33) and Trump (13:25).
“He looks like a serious candidate to me. And I think the lion’s share of their supporters come to us”.
