Imran Khan meets Indian PM Modi in Dehli
Member of Pakistan’s parliament and former cricketer Imran Khan called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Friday and raised the issue of resumption of cricketing ties between the two nations, besides discussing other issues involving normalisation of ties between the two countries.
He stated leaders with massive imaginative and prescient are keys for betterment of ties between the neighbours. The PTI chairman also maintainted that such inability to move forward confidently by the PM causing the roots of Pakistan Army’s venture to fight against terrorism in the country.
Earlier, PTI’s central information secretary Shireen Mazari said on Twitter, “Chairman Khan is in New Delhi on the invitation of India Today”.
“If management in Pak and India present the dream of open border nobody will criticise”, he added.
Khan also said that his perception about Modi changed after the Friday’s one on one talks.
In a statement issued by the Indian Prime Minister, Indian Foreign Ministry Spokesman stated Imran Khan met Narendra Modi at the request of the latter.
“Resolve Kashmir problem for lasting peace as it’s a sticking problem”, he stated.
The PTI chairman is in New Delhi on a two-day visit to attend a moot on Indo-Pak relations.
