India bags 12 gold as weightlifting event ends
The Indian women’s hockey team opened their account by beating Nepal 24-0.
On the first day on Saturday, India had won two gold and two silver while they won a gold, a silver and a bronze yesterday.
In the Long Jump Indian Women captured gold and silver medal. In table tennis, Indian men’s and women’s teams bagged gold. Pakistan and Sri Lanka won the silver and bronze respectively.
This is his third gold medal in a singles event at the 12th South Asian Games.At the end of day three of the South Asian Games, Sri Lanka was placed second with eight Gold medals, behind India with 28 Gold medals.

Mohd. Mahfizur Rahman of Bangladesh was third in 17:12.0. In men’s +105 kg category, Gurdeep Singh finished in second place with a total lift of 345 kg.
Medal tally in women section rose to 6 gold medals and 6 gold medals in men section in weightlifting.
The 2016 South Asian Games is underway in Guwahati and Shillong.
