India’s Top Court Issues Rules to Curb Pollution in Capital
The hike in the environment compensation charge (ECC) payable by light and heavy commercial vehicles entering Delhi, ordered by the Supreme Court on Wednesday, is likely to stop most non-destined trucks from rolling into the capital.
The top court has also said that commercial vehicles registered before 2005, will not be allowed to enter the city.

Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the country’s biggest SUV maker, fell 4.5 percent, the most intraday since August 24, as of 11:29 a.m.in Mumbai.
