Indrani’s Mukerjea’s mother, Durga Bora, passes away in Guwahati

According to reports, Mukerjea, who is now in jail alongwith other two accused Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai, was taken to JJ Hospital for medical check up after she reported of chest pain.

Durga Rani Bora, Indrani’s mother and father Upendra Kumar Bora live in Guwahati, Assam, along with Indrani’s son Mikhail.

Wife of TV honcho Peter Mukerjea, Indrani, is a prime accused in the murder case of her daughter Sheena Bora.

Things aren’t going well for former NewsX CEO, Indrani Mukerjea, who is in police custody in connection with Sheena Bora murder case.

The CBI filed the case under various sections of Indian Penal Code including criminal conspiracy, murder, abduction, destruction of evidence, causing hurt by giving poison and Arms Act.

Durga also happenned to be the legal mother of Indrani’s daughter Sheena Bora. An official from the agency will be appointed as the new investigating officer (IO) in the case.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Dispur) Suprotive Lal Barua said 83-year Bora died in her residence.

In an amazement move, the Maharashtra government a month ago chose to hand over the investigation to the CBI after about a month of debates, affirmations and counter-charges on the part of previous city police chief Rakesh Maria, who was all of a sudden advanced as Director General of Police.

Sheena was allegedly strangled in a vehicle, then her body was burnt and dumped at a forest in Raigad, about 84 kms from Mumbai.
