Infant among five shot in Back of the Yards

Emergency officials are on the scene of a shooting that has wounded at least five people, including a baby on Chicago’s South Side.

Authorities in Chicago are searching for the occupants of a vehicle that opened fire on a group of people, including a 1-year-old child, reports CBS Chicago.

Police say the 11-month-old baby was taken to the hospital, and is in stable condition.

Two women, a 46-year-old with a leg wound and a 43-year-old shot in the torso, where also taken to Stroger.

Earlier Monday, an 18-year-old man was fatally shot on the West Side.

Two 25-year-old men, one with gunshot wounds on both legs and another with wounds unknown, were taken to Mt. Sinai hospital, police said. Guglielmi says their conditions weren’t immediately known.
