Authorities say a house fire in Brooklyn that burned for over two hours has been brought under control.
Five people were hurt and at least one house was destroyed in a suspicious fire that spread to a neighboring home in Brooklyn Thursday morning, fire officials say.
Three children and two adults sustained minor injuries in the fire.
The fire was deemed suspicious and residents said there have been other arsons in the quiet neighborhood, which has Victorian homes and tree-lined streets.
The fire marshal’s investigation revealed that the fire was caused by an AC unit attached to an extension cord, officials said.
