Injuries to both long snappers forced Raiders to go for 2
Highlight: Von Miller was a beast early in this game with a sack and forced fumble early on. The biggest thing is, as an offense, that it all starts and it stops with me. The momentum was all going The Raiders way at this point as the Raiders then narrowed the lead to 12-9. 99 of those yards came through the air, while just 27 yards on the ground. Is it Peyton’s turn to make a comeback? “Every time we’ve gone out and not gotten the result that we wanted, the hunger has grown more and more, and we finally got the job done”.
Lowlight: Brock Osweiler had the worst game of his pro career. “We didn’t do anything to help ourselves in the second half though”. Manning practiced away from the team last week, and was ruled as day-to-day before the game against Oakland. Khalil Mack was the main reason why Osweiler didn’t stay undefeated with this Broncos’ team. Osweiler is now 2-1 under those circumstances. “I think he has a bright future”. They’re talking about a QB who completed 59.9 percent of his passes with 9 touchdowns to 17 interceptions and a 67.6 passer rating in his first 9 games. Lead back Ronnie Hillman had 20 yards on 12 carries. We lost the line of scrimmage offensively. “So, really happy with the way he kicked the ball today”.
Lowlight: Michael Schofield was a frigging turnstile on ice skates in this game. Obviously it’s nice to get help but a lot of it was my technique.
“I haven’t been a part of a game that was such a 180 from one half to the next”. We were seeing different fronts and we were running different plays.
Mack is another budding superstar that the Raiders posses.
-PASSING OFFENSE: C plus. Demaryius Thomas dropped a touchdown. “Let’s go 90 yards or whatever it is'”.
Davis said he dropped his wide open pass late in the fourth quarter because he got “super excited”. Our offense hasn’t looked that inept since the first half against the Chiefs in Denver. Denver didn’t have a single carry for positive yardage in the red zone. That cannot continue.
“It’s definitely going to come down to us just doing what we have to do”.
Trailing by 12 points at halftime to a division rival who happens to boast the league’s top defense.
“He’s been playing on a nicked-up ankle for us for a couple of weeks”. Not a pretty win by any means but it’s a win and nobody seen it coming…Raiders playoffs hopes are pretty much dead now but beating The Broncos is a good step into next season, the burden of not being able to beat The Broncos in 8 straight attempts is over…
“You have to use the information and have the courage to do the right thing for the team”, he said. They’ll of course, need to run the table to get to nine wins, but if they can dig deep, learn from their mistakes – and not repeat them – and play the type of football we’ve seen them play this season, anything is possible. Say what you want about him, in four games, the Broncos have had a solid offensive showing once (against the New England Patriots, ironically).
