INJURY NEWS: Chargers OG Johnnie Troutman reportedly has a broken arm

It was only one carry in a meaningless game, but it meant the world to San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead.

Cowboys starting roster core pieces had not played, most notably quarterback, Tony Romo (healthy scratch) and star wide receiver Dez Bryant.

Former San Francisco 49ers executive Carmen Policy, who is working on the Carson project on behalf of the two franchises, said on Tuesday the teams are committed to the Los Angeles area. Or what about the Rodriguez family of Huntington Beach who’ve supported the Chargers for three generations, the parents donning Junior Seau and Dan Fouts jerseys, the children sporting those of Antonio Gates and Philip Rivers? The Cowboys were forced to punt. “I’m a player that can be versatile and lead the way”.

The third possession for Dallas saw Johnson rack up a YPC of 5.3 yards, which included gains of 10 yards and five yards on the touchdown play. Collins met with the Buffalo Bills and had a meeting scheduled with the Miami Dolphins, but canceled it after agreeing to a three-year, fully guaranteed contract with the Cowboys. He was the night’s leading rusher once again.

Like many rookies making their debut in the NFL there was both good and bad. “It was good to get back out there, though, in a game setting”. If the Cowboys run the ball a percentage less than they did last season, I’d argue it has the potential to make up for that erosion with their other skill players on offense and an improved defense.

After living through that experience and still getting a chance to play in the NFL, a likely first-round pick has all of the motivation he needs. He is genuinely popular in the locker room.
