Inler set for Leicester transfer
Subject to his registration being confirmed, Inler will be available to make his City debut this Saturday against Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium.
Press Association Sport understands the midfielder has completed a medical and agreed personal terms with the Foxes ahead of his switch from Napoli. “Inler will wear the No. 33 shirt”.
After winning their first two Premier League matches under Ranieri, the Foxes appear to have picked up where they left off last season under former boss Nigel Pearson – leading to nine victories in their last 11 competitive matches.
Inler brings plenty of experience with him to Leicester, having earned 84 caps for his country as well as representing Napoli in the Champions League.
The Foxes have won both of their opening games under Ranieri, beating Sunderland and West Ham, to sit joint top of the table.
“For me it was not so easy because I had many, many teams [chasing me] but in the end I decided with my heart and I came to Leicester City”.
Inler joined Napoli in July 2011 and has been a firm favourite at the club during his time in southern Italy.
After starting his career with Basel, Inler joined FC Aarau, before making a move to Udinese in 2007 where he sprung to prominence.
