Inside The Happy Lives Of The Minnesota Family-Of-5 Found Dead In Murder
Police officers checking the welfare of residents at a home in the west metro city of Greenwood on Thursday came upon a scene their chief called “unspeakable” – the bodies of five family members, including three teenagers.
Speaking to The Associated Press, he said that he would not be releasing further information about how they died.
According to a release, the medical examiner said Brian Scott Short, 45, killed himself with a shotgun wound to the head.
Greenwood, a village of about 700 people, sits on the south side of Lake Minnetonka.
Authorities say five family members found dead in their suburban Minneapolis home this week died in what they refer to as a murder-suicide. Three of the victims were found in the basement of the house while another was found in a lower-level bedroom.
The deaths of Karen Short and the children have been ruled as homicide by the examiner, while Brian Short’s death has been ruled a suicide. The children had not been at school for two days. Krenik said Cole had recently told her the Short family was having financial trouble and was planning to sell their $2 million home on Lake Minnetonka. Another statement promised, “Please be assured that we will continue to serve our devoted network of nursing professionals during this hard time”. Paul Business Journal in 2012 that he started AllNurses.com to provide a resource to fellow medical professionals.
“Brian created something with (AllNurses.com) that has left a positive impact on the profession and the future of nursing”, one person wrote. He depicted The Excelsior-based company as a success in a 2014 interview with the Star Tribune.
Kaitlyn Ancello, of Minotola, N.J., a friend of Cole’s on Facebook, said she spoke with the teen over the phone and over Skype frequently after they became friends playing video games across the Internet about a year ago.
